Which day does the week start on?
The first day of the week follows your language: Monday for Chinese and Sunday for English and Japanese, matching common regional conventions. The ISO week number always uses the Monday-based ISO 8601 rule.
What is the “day of year”?
It is the ordinal position of the date within its year — 1 for January 1st and up to 365 or 366 on December 31st. It is handy for planning, logs and spreadsheets.
Can I use dates far in the past or future?
Yes. The calendar is perpetual, so you can navigate to any month in any year. Weekday alignment and week numbers are computed, not hard-coded to a single year.
