How to use
- Pick a Gregorian date to see its full lunar date, zodiac and Gan-Zhi.
- Any solar term or traditional festival on that day is shown as a tag.
- Reverse: enter a lunar year, month and day (tick Leap month if needed) to get the Gregorian date.
Convert between the Gregorian and Chinese lunar calendar, with the sexagenary year, zodiac, solar term (jiéqì) and traditional festivals.
This converter maps dates between the Gregorian calendar and the traditional Chinese lunar (lunisolar) calendar. For a given solar date it shows the full lunar date, the sexagenary Gan-Zhi pillars for the year, month and day, the zodiac animal, any solar term (jiéqì) falling on that day, and traditional festivals such as Spring Festival or Mid-Autumn. A reverse mode turns a lunar date — including leap months — back into a Gregorian one. Conversions use the astronomically accurate lunar-javascript engine and run entirely in your browser.
Lunar → Gregorian

In the reverse (lunar → Gregorian) section, tick the “Leap month” box. Chinese lunar years occasionally insert a leap month, so leap 6th month is different from the ordinary 6th month and maps to a different Gregorian date.
The lunar year begins at Spring Festival (usually late January or February), so early-January solar dates still fall in the prior lunar year. The tool reflects this automatically.
Gan-Zhi is the 60-year cycle of ten Heavenly Stems and twelve Earthly Branches, shown here for the year, month and day. Solar terms (jiéqì) are 24 points dividing the solar year, such as Lìchūn (start of spring).
